Why Quality and Purity Matter
At Life's Abundance, we set a higher standard for all of our Sealogix products. We source our Omega-3's from fish located in some of the cleanest waters in the world from fisheries that are renewable and fully-sustainable. The fish oil is then molecularly distilled to concentrate and purify the oil, removing the contaminants.

Manufacturers of fish oil are required to test each batch they produce; however, in many cases, this testing is handled by the manufacturers themselves. Often testing is conducted prior to adding flavors and bottling, so the fish oil that is tested in-house may not necessarily be the same quality of fish oil delivered to the marketplace.
In addition to the standard manufacturer testing for every batch, we have enlisted the help of IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards), a non-affiliated third party and the internationally-respected source for fish oil analysis. IFOS scientifically tests and analyzes Sealogix and the results are available to the public. This validation testing ensures that you are getting a safe and effective fish oil supplement that you can feel confident giving to your family. |
IFOS Testing
There are three internationally-accepted standards for testing fish oil:
- CRN (Council for Responsible Nutrition)
- WHO (World Health Organization)
- IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards)
|
The IFOS standards includes all the tests required by the CRN and WHO; however, IFOS imposes more stringent requirements for passing some of these tests. Furthermore, the IFOS standards also include additional tests not required by the CRN and WHO. We believe this makes the IFOS standard the most comprehensive measurement in the fish oil industry for quality and purity. The highest rating that can be attained from IFOS is a 5-Star Rating. We are proud to announce that Sealogix has been awarded an IFOS 5-Star Rating for quality, concentration and purity.

Product Passes All CRN/WHO Testing Categories
The Council for Responsible Nutrition and the World Health Organization have devised standards to minimize levels of contaminants, like PCB's, dioxins, furans, mercury, etc. These purity guidelines ensure consumer safety and set the standards for the international fish oil industry. |

Product Tests Show Minimum 60% EPA plus DHA Combined Concentration
A highly concentrated fish oil is a mark of superior quality. Fish oil concentration is important because it ensures that you are getting adequate levels of EPA and DHA in every serving. This test is also guarantees that each serving has the amounts of EPA and DHA that are listed on the label. |
 |
|
Oxidation Level Less Than 75% of CRN Standard
The oxidation test is a measurement of the fish oil freshness. Oxidation is the interaction between oxygen molecules and other substances (for example, notice that the color of a freshly-cut apple turns brown after exposure to oxygen). Oxidation tests peroxide levels and total oxidation to assess the product’s stability and freshness. |
|
 |
PCB Levels Less Than 50% of CRN Standard
PCB's are a group of manufactured organic chemicals, which have been used widely as coolants and for other electrical equipment. Because PCB's build up in the environment and cause harmful health effects, the manufacture of PCB's stopped in the U.S. in 1977. Since PCB's do not break down easily, they are now found throughout our environment. As a consequence, PCB's can be highly concentrated in the fish found in waters contaminated with even low levels of these carcinogens. |
 |
 |
Dioxin and Furan Levels Less Than 50% of WHO Standard
Dioxin and furans are environmental contaminants that are formed as a result of the combustion process, like waste incineration and from burning fossil fuels. These chemicals are released into the atmosphere, and as a result they can be found in the plants, animals and fish that we eat. Dioxin is the most toxic man-made chemical, and furans are about a tenth as toxic. These contaminants are human carcinogens, which can also cause non-cancer health effects. |
